Our teaching team consists of qualified professionals, all of whom have a minimum of two years training in Early Childhood and hold, or are studying for, a childcare degree or certificate. Our supportive and skilled staff will work alongside your child to assure he or she achieves his or her maximum potential. To assure that our programs uphold the highest standards, our team of professionals are involved in continuous training that consist of:
- Ongoing staff development through NYS Early Education training programs and conferences
- Individual monthly staff supervision sessions with lead teachers and assistants
- Regular team training meetings
- Monthly collaborative lesson planning sessions
- CPR, First Aid, and Mat Certification
Honeybee Childcare is under the direction of:
Kathy is the founder of Honeybee Child Care and has over 12 years of experience in the field. She is a Registered Nurse and holds an Associates Degree in Pre-School/Pre-K Childhood Development. Kathy’s goal is to provide your family with a loving and developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of learning. Play is a child’s most important work, and Kathy strives to create and maintain an environment where your child can grow and thrive while exploring the world around them.
Mary has been the Program Director at Honeybee Child Care for over 10 years. She has over 30 years of experience in early childhood education and holds degrees in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Primary Education and has a Master’s Degree in Special Education. She currently serves on the Board of the Dutchess/Putnam Child Care Council. Mary is dedicated to the social and emotional development of each child and works hard to ensure that each child receives the best care and love that they all deserve.
